AFTER SCHOOL SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAM
Our after-school program is grounded in the evidence-based practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is designed to help individuals develop and maintain meaningful social interaction skills. Through guided instruction and supportive practice, participants acquire the skills necessary to thrive in socially inclusive settings.
Placement in social skills groups is based on initial evaluations, ensuring that each child is matched according to age and skill level. Students engage in structured, interactive lessons and real-world generalization activities, providing them with opportunities to practice and apply skills in natural settings. The program serves children from elementary through middle school.
To foster collaboration and transparency, we provide weekly progress reports, and open communication with families is a cornerstone of our approach. Together, we empower children to develop their social skills and build confidence for success in school, at home, and in the community.
Parent Training at Autistic Angels
Supporting a loved one with an Autism Spectrum Disorder can feel overwhelming, and family members often wonder how best to help. Our practical approach focuses on teaching parents and caregivers effective behavior modification strategies that not only manage troubling behaviors but also foster a deeper understanding of the child’s unique needs.
Each child begins with an initial assessment, followed by two to three observation sessions in their natural environment. We then review the findings with parents or caregivers and provide individualized strategies to replace challenging behaviors with positive, functional alternatives. By equipping families with the tools they need, we help bridge the gap between managing a child’s behavior and truly understanding their growth.
"The idea of learning acceptable SOCIAL SKILLS in a school is absurd to me as learning NUTRITION from a grocery store…"
